SUMMARY:  

 

The Account Manager-Janitorial & MRO Supplies is responsible for driving growth and managing key accounts within the janitorial and MRO supplies industry. This role focuses on maintaining strong relationships with existing customers (90% retention) while achieving 10–20% incremental growth through remote outreach and expanded opportunities. The position requires expertise in janitorial and sanitation supply sales, experience with MRO supply companies, and managing rep agencies. Familiarity with e-commerce channels and HVAC filtration products is preferred. The role involves approximately 25% travel and offers a competitive base salary with performance-based bonuses.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

 

  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and manage large accounts in janitorial, sanitation, and MRO supply industries.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with experience in maintaining high retention rates and expanding remote accounts.
  • Deep understanding of janitorial, sanitation, and MRO supply markets; familiarity with HVAC filtration products preferred.
  • Ability to develop and manage rep agency partnerships to maximize regional sales performance.
  • Experience leveraging online platforms and digital channels for product distribution and growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and customer engagement.
  • Competence in analyzing sales data, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing effective strategies.
  • Understanding of product specifications, compliance standards, and inventory coordination.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with a focus on incremental growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Approximately 25% travel.

Education and Experience:

  • Filtration Industry knowledge. 
  • 5–8 years in janitorial and sanitation supply sales.
  • Proven track record with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supply companies
  • Experience selling to and managing rep agencies
  • Familiarity with e-commerce supply sales
  • Preferred:
  • HVAC filtration experience 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
  •  Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
