D-Mark’s products include Panels, Pads, Pleats, Pleat Inserts, Rigid Cells, Ring Panels, CarbonWeb roll media, “Filled” Filters for V-Banks, Bulk Carbon and Filters for Appliances and Air Cleaners.

Essential Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
  • Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products
  • Training and managing production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods
  • Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct
  • Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards
  • Eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems
  • Creating quality standards for an organization.
  • Ensuring that employees and operational procedures meet these standards.
  • Monitoring performance and creating compliance reports.
  • Collecting feedback from other employees and clients.
  • Supervising the production process to ensure products meet consistent standards.
  • Developing and implementing quality control tests.
  • Inspecting products at various stages.
  • Writing reports documenting production issues.
  • Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes.
  • Examining products to determine their quality.
  • Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow federal, state and local regulations
  • Takes initiative with quality system with minimal training needed
  • Communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings and status reports
  • Knowledge of the product to perform accurate quality control
  • Attention to detail
  • Analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stress
  • Ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting standards
  • Led the efforts for a facility to become ISO certified, preferably ISO 9001-2015
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, engineering, or quality management, is required.
  • Additionally, a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • Experience leading a company through the ISO certification process, taking initiative and leading the team to certification
  • Certified internal auditor for ISO
  • Able to complete 8D analysis, FEMA’s, and other high level quality control methods
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably in integrated manufacturing process
  • Worked at ISO/TS Certified Facility and managed the program

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or more
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Dusty, fumes in environment
  • Cold/hot outdoor temperatures
